South Lubes' is a franchise of Jiffy Lube International. Beginning with just one oil change service center in Jacksonville, FL, in 1994, South Lubes, Inc. has quickly become one of the largest Jiffy Lube franchises.
First operating as Texaco Xpress Lube centers, South Lubes expanded into other markets, with 19 stores in Jacksonville, Lake City, Gainesville, Palm Coast, Orlando and Melbourne, FL. In June of 1997, the owners were given the opportunity to purchase 62 Jiffy Lube centers from three companies: KAAR, Spin & Automotive, and Amerilube.
Following the acquisition they became a franchised affiliate of Jiffy Lube International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pennzoil/Shell Oil. There are now a total of 61 retail service centers, spanning from Charlotte, NC to Jacksonville, FL and continuing to grow.
